The RIELLO UPS Research Center opened in 2003 in Legnago, Italy.  the center is divided into three distinct areas to support an extensive development program:

• Design - where new UPS products are conceived and produced;
• Testing - where laboratories with sophisticated test and measuring equipment are used to test prototypes and analyse results;
• MTBF - where accelerated life tests are conducted inside temperature controlled environments with actual "real-world" loads to measure MTBF
